ABOUT THE LOOK.
In this concept board, we’ve gathered a mix of traditional pieces and dog-inspired accents to create a space that feels welcoming and full of personality.
We started with the pendant light. It’s a truly beautiful piece, handmade with a white opal glass shade and finished with delicate brass filigree. It has that old-world feel we’re always drawn to, the kind of lighting that instantly adds history and elegance to a room.
To keep the look grounded in traditional style, we chose a genuine leather armchair with a tufted back and nailhead trim. It’s a recliner—though you’d never guess it—which makes it both comfortable and functional while still feeling classic. To soften the piece, we added a striped brown pillow that introduces a relaxed, vintage-inspired touch.
Next, we added a martini table with a slender tripod base—one of those versatile pieces that works in just about any room. It comes in both black and antique gold, and for this board we chose the antique gold finish to tie in with the other brass elements and bring a touch of warmth.
And because we can never resist a good dog detail, we included a pair of Labrador bookends. Their brushed antique gold finish gives them a vintage, collected feel that layers beautifully with the rest of the pieces.
To finish the look, we chose a reproduction dog portrait in a moody, muted palette. The soft texture of the canvas and the traditional composition make it feel right at home alongside vintage and antique pieces, bringing the whole board together with a touch of old-world charm.
