Is there anything more charming than a European kitchen? Warm tones, timeworn textures, and collected charm come together so beautifully in European interiors, and in this vignette, we’re bringing you a timeless and inviting look inspired by the heart of an old-world European kitchen.
About the Look.
To begin this look, we started with a staple of European-style kitchens—copper.
The antique copper pans are the true eye-catchers in this vignette, a beautiful combination of three pieces that perfectly complement one another in size and proportion. Well-worn and full of character, they bring warmth and texture to the space and reflect the timeless appeal of copper in European kitchens.
One of my favorite things about sourcing vintage and antique pieces is the way a look or grouping of pieces can come together unexpectedly—and that’s exactly what happened with the plant stand and stoneware crock featured in this vignette.
These two pieces were sourced nearly six months apart and in two different states. When we found the wrought-iron plant stand last summer, I was immediately drawn to the scroll detailing.
The ironwork is subtle yet elevated, bringing a sense of old-world craftsmanship that works beautifully in European-style interiors. I tried several different vases with it over time, but none felt quite right.
Then, during a sourcing trip earlier this month, we came across this beautiful tan stoneware crock.
At the time, I wasn’t even searching for something to pair with the plant stand—I was simply drawn to the shape and the way it read more like a traditional European flower pot than a typical crock.
Once paired together, the two felt effortless. Styled with a beautiful faux branch, it was one of those rare moments where everything just clicked—a perfect match.
Finally, a charming Windsor-style chair helps round out this look. The warmth of the wood adds another layer of texture and reinforces the collected, lived-in quality of the space.
While this particular chair isn’t available for purchase, Windsor-style chairs are a staple in our vintage furniture collection and a piece we are always on the hunt for.
Together, these elements create a charming European kitchen moment—rich with texture, history, and quiet character. This vignette would feel right at home on a kitchen wall, in a breakfast nook, or even in a larger pantry, offering a timeless approach to kitchen styling that feels collected, comfortable, and enduring.
