European Dining Room Decor: Styling a Vintage Brass Bowl as a Dining Table Centerpiece

Some centerpieces are designed to make a statement, featuring lush florals, layered textures, and all the grandeur of an elegant formal dining space. And don't get us wrong, we absolutely adore a beautifully styled formal dining room (in fact, we very much hope to have space for one in our own home someday). But sometimes, a smaller space simply calls for a more casual dining area and a centerpiece that's a little less elaborate.
In this look, we're leaning into a simpler approach to dining table styling, where the centerpiece feels casual and relaxed, yet still intentional and beautiful.
About the Look.
The warmth in this vignette is no accident. The antique pine hutch, farmhouse-style dining table and chairs (both linked below), and chandelier (linked below) lay the foundation for the cozy feel of this space.
The vintage accents throughout the space add even more depth and charm, from the collected objects displayed on the hutch to the artwork and Windsor chair in the background.
So, when it came time to choose a centerpiece, we knew this beautiful Brass Crown Pedestal Bowl would be the perfect fit.
With its scalloped edge, rounded silhouette, and beautifully aged finish, this piece has an unmistakable European charm.
We've paired the brass bowl with one of our go-to faux florals (linked below).
Although it's technically a fall stem, you'll find it styled throughout countless vignettes on our website because it's truly one of our all-time favorites.
For this look, we used six Ranunculus flower stems (linked below). Their beautiful cinnamon hue pairs perfectly with the warm brass tones of the bowl, and we styled them loosely to create the relaxed feel we were aiming for. The result is a simple yet elegant centerpiece that feels right at home in this collected dining space.
