The image features John Walter Tempest with a Horse, originally painted around 1780 by British artist George Romney.
The print was produced by the well-known Berlin Photographic Company and is stamped “Photographische Gesellschaft Berlin” in the upper right corner above the image, with the number “85” at the lower left under the image.
The frame shows age-appropriate wear, including a few more noticeable chips to the wood on the right side and lower right corner, which are difficult to see in the photos.
